Annie Lennox

Annie Lennox was born in Aberdeen Scotland on December 25 1954. Dorothy Farquharson was her mother and Thomas Allison Lennox was her father. Lennox received a scholarship to study at the London's Royal Academy of Music for 3 years. She lived off of an allowance for students and went on part-time employment to augment her budget. Lennox did not feel happy with the quality of her performance compared with other students at the Royal Academy and began looking to find alternative routes. Lennox performed flute in a 1976 band called Dragons Playground. However, she left before New Faces, the I.T.V. talent competition. Between 1977 and 1980, she was the singer-songwriter for The Tourists, a British Pop group. The band was where she met Dave Stewart and together they formed their duo Eurythmics. Lennox started working with Diva in 1992. It was her debut album as a solo artist. The album received a lot of praise both from the press and critics. Nostalgia Lennoxs sixth solo album debuted in October of 2014. The C.D. Lennox picked her favorite blues and soul tunes. Lepidoptera was released by Lennox on May 19, 2019. The album is comprised of four songs that were improvised. The E.P. is the companion album for her installation of art in the Massachusetts Museum of Contemporary Art entitled Now I Let You go... It's the first time she has released an independent album. Annie Lennox born December 25 1954 is a Scottish activist, politician and philanthropist. She is also a musician and singer. The Tourists were a new-wave group who had some success in the late 1970s. Later, Lennox joined fellow singer-songwriter Dave Stewart to form the pop duo Eurythmics. Lennox debuted her solo music career in 1992, by releasing an album titled Diva. It featured many famous songs like Walking on Broken Glass and Why. Medusa, a 1995 studio album that features the cover versions of some popular songs such as No More I Love Yous and A Whiter Shade of Pale. She has released six solo studio and compilation albums.
