Maureen Denise McCormick was born on the 5th of August 1956, in Woodland Hills California the youngest and sole daughter of Richard and Irene McCormick. Her family consisted of her mother, who was a housewife and a father who taught. Michael Dennis Kevin is her three elder siblings. McCormick was a talented singer and performer from the age of 6. She put on shows with puppets to entertain her friends. When McCormick was six years old, she won the Baby Miss San Fernando Valley pageant. That same year, she was featured in another commercial that aired on TV for Chatty-Cathy's doll. After that, she was chosen by La Jolla Playhouse to play the part of Wind It up before It breaks. The Brady Bunch McCormick, which was chosen out of 200 auditioned kids, played the oldest of three double-headed daughters, in The Brady Bunch (1969) which starred Florence Henderson and Robert Reed. The five-year run of the show was a great success. McCormick's book Heres the Story, Surviving Marcia Brady: Finding My True Voice was published in the year 2008. She revealed in it the fact that McCormick almost lost her virginity while on set of the series during its fifth season to Barry Williams. She was just 16 when the incident occurred while he was.
